The Ancients & Immortals universe, is composed of many dynamic, over-the-top characters. There are mortals, gifted, and immortals of varying types. Twelve main conventional characters(as seen in left image; rare early edition, 12 character mural poster) drive the action in Book Seven; Archangels In Exile, with the aid of one main unconventional, intangible character. Netherworld.
In most fictional stories, the setting is merely a location that serves as the backdrop for whatever action is taking place. Netherworld, on the other hand, by virtue of its extreme elemental atmosphere, has a direct influence on the mood, behavior, and makeup of characters exposed to it.
From narrative and visual perspectives, it is an interesting aspect of the storyline. Turbulent storm clouds with thunderous rumbles, lightning strikes, glowing rivers, blinding fog, creeping shadows, nauseating odors, and both natural and unnatural architectural wonders.
Readers come to look forward to their mental jaunts to the Netherworld, as a healthy amount of the story's pivotal and action-packed scenes take place there. It is where they become insiders, privy to exchanges and confrontations that are otherwise inaccessible.
As the books states of it in its introduction to the reader; Netherworld, is "a dynamic and uniquely volatile universe, where neither mortals, nor their delicate souls could survive."
In the upcoming animated trailer for Book Seven, we believe that we've touched the essence of that bold assertion, and we know that fans are going to enjoy it as well.
The first glimpse of the Valley of Death shot alone, provides a wondrous, original visual that people have never seen produced on the big screen.
